JJEU President Mr Christian Blareau had passed away



With great sadness, we must announce the death of Christian Blareau after a long fighting against the ilness.
 
Christian Blareau was born in 1951. He obtained in 1975 his Ph.D. in History from the University of Paris and also obtained master degrees in geography and sports law, economy and sports organization management.
From 1991 to 1999, he was professor of sports law, economy and management at the National Institute of Sports and Physical Education (INSEP) and at the same time he was the director of their continuing education program.
Since 1999 he has worked for the minister of Health as a professor preparing future teachers for the national sports examination in various disciplines. He also teaches sports law, economy and management at the University of Evry and Paris.
Christian Blareau was a former Judo National Champion in 1982. He obtained his black belt 6th dan in 2011. He has taught judo and has been a member of the jury fot the National examination.
For many years he has been an international referee on World A level and worked in this position during a lot of international tournaments and championships. In 2009 Christian Blareau has been elected as President for the European Ju-Jitsu Union and he served our Union until monday with respect and decency. He offered to Ju-Jitsu development only positive work and he was a strong supporter of all Ju-Jitsu values.
 
Our Referee-family lost a great friend and he will be greatly missed as a world member of martial arts community and a good friend.
